"Lea Lyn Bennett did our wedding music. We loved her! Everything was perfect!"...Tina (Bride)

Lea began her study of the harp at the age of 9 while living in Hawaii. Her teacher was Susi Hussong, the harpist for the Honolulu Symphony. At the age of 15, while performing for a wedding at the exclusive Cannon Club on Diamond Head, Lea was hired to play weekly in the Club's main dining room. Lea went on to receive her Bachelor of Music Degree in Harp Performance at California State University in Los Angeles, under the direction of world renowned Harp Teacher and performer Susann McDonald. While in L.A. she continued her studies in arranging and performing popular music with recording artist DeWayne Fulton.
In 1978 Lea was featured as the harpist for a live wedding broadcast on the popular "Sun Up San Diego" TV show. Shortly after, Lea played for the grand opening of the Magic Island Club in Newport Beach, where she performed 4 to 5 hours a night, 7 nights a week. In 1984 she was invited to open the new Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Dana Point as their principle harpist. A few years later she moved closer to home, performing regularly at the Admiral Kidd Club on San Diego Bay, and the prestigious Golden Door Health Spa in North County. Lea currently averages over 100 performances a year in San Diego and surrounding areas.
